Perfect Pan Sear

Crispy, Golden, and Full of Flavor

Pan-searing fish is one of the easiest and most rewarding ways to prepare your catch. The key is a hot pan, the right oil, and proper timing to create a crispy, golden crust while keeping the inside tender.

Steps:

  1. Pat Fish Dry – Remove moisture for a crisp sear.
  2. Season – Lightly salt and pepper the fillet.
  3. Heat Pan – Use medium-high heat and a splash of oil.
  4. Sear – Cook fillets skin-side down for 3–4 minutes, flip carefully, and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
  5. Serve – Finish with a squeeze of lemon or fresh herbs.

Tips:

  • Don’t overcrowd the pan.
  • Preheat the pan fully before adding the fish.
  • Use a non-stick or well-seasoned pan for best results.
